As you are entering into your Collaborate profile, your profile might not be comprehensively collecting your research from all avenues quite yet. Here are a handful of steps you can take to ensure all of your research output is reflected in your profile
Option #1: Make sure you have an ORCID ID, and connect it with your profile
ORCID is a free, unique, persistent identifier (PID) for individuals to use as they engage in research, scholarship, and innovation activities. By creating an ORCID ID, you are connecting your name and research to a unique number that will carry with you throughout your research career. Having this number allows systems like Collaborate to identify the correct version of you (not your doppleganger from 5 states away), and to apply it to YOUR research output. Visit ORCID.org to create your FREE ID.
When you're ready to add your ORCID number to your Collaborate Profile, navigate to the "Edit Profile" section and select "Create or Connect your ORCID ID.

Option #2: Turn on Automated Search
- Navigate to Edit Profile
- In the left side menu, under "Edit", select "Automated Search"
- Turn ON the Automated Search for as many sources as you want. By turning the search ON, you are allowing these sources to report to Collaborate that you have a publication listed in their systems. This will then collect in the Collaborate System on a regular basis. As an example, Scopus crawls update every Monday.
- ORCID
- Datacite
- Mendeley
- Scopus
- Embase
- PubMed
- ArXiv
- CiNii
- ADS NASA
- ESpaceNet

Option #3: Manually Add Content
There are three ways to access your profile to add content manually:
- Select the blue "Add Content button on your personal profile page
- Click the down arrow next to "Personal" in the upper left corner
- OR select "Research Outputs"

Select from the options beneath "Research Output". You can import from a direct file, or create from a template. Select the material type in the column to the right.
Option #4: Highlight Your Content
If you would like to feature one of your publications more prominently than others, you can navigate to the "Highlighted Content" page by visiting "Edit Profile" and selecting "Highlighted Content" in the left side menu. Once here, you can select from a drop down list of all your publications. Select the publication you'd like to be featured on your profile by checking the plus sign and then adjusting the order.
