There is a duplication detection happening in UMBrella, but only if the two records have certain matching fields. You may still see some ebooks or journal articles more than once in your search results if there is any slight difference in how they've been entered into our system.

There is no way to remove duplicates across databases. This means that doing the same search in ProQuest and PubMed and removing the articles in PubMed that also appear in ProQuest or vice versa, for example, is not possible. In order to do this, you would have to upload both searches into a reference manager like Zotero or Mendeley, and remove duplicate results in there.
