To save searches in PubMed, follow these steps:
- From the Healey Library homepage click on Databases & Indexes
- Select "P" and then PubMed (with links to UMass Boston holdings)
- If you are off campus, you will be prompted to sign in using your UMass Credentials
- Enter your search terms into the box
- Click "Create Alert" (located on the results page underneath the search box)
- Sign in to My NCBI with your NCBI account or through a 3rd party (such as Google)
- You can edit the name of your search and receive email updates of new search results
- Click "Save"
To save article citations, follow these steps:
- From the Healey Library homepage click on Databases & Indexes
- Select "P" and then PubMed (with links to UMass Boston holdings)
- If you are off campus, you will be prompted to enter your UMass Credentials
- Enter your search terms into the box
- Check the box(es) next to the title(s) of article citations you'd like to save
- Click Send to at the top right corner of the results list
- From the drop-down menu, select the location you'd like to send your selected citations: "File," "Collections," "Order," "Citation manager," "Clipboard," "E-mail," or "My Bibliography"
- "Collections" and "My Bibliography" require you to log in to your My NCBI account
- Citations sent to "Clipboard" will be lost after 8 hours of inactivity
