Instructions for loading UMB Research Guide content to Blackboard
1. Start adding the guides to your Blackboard course by choosing either Start Here (Syllabus) or Weekly Sessions.
2. Open the Build Content tab from the dropdown list and choose UMB Research Guides.
3. Add the name of the content item in the Create UMB Research Guides box. If desired add a description of the content and click Submit.
4. The Content Item is now ready. Click on the Content Item title to define which research guide you want added to the Content Item you just created.
5. When the LibApps Library Content Selection opens use the dropdown options to select the content you wish to add.
6. Choose from the list of options found in Content Type to customize student content engagement.
- Full LibGuide
- Single page in a guide
- General databases list
- Linked Subject specific databases
7. In the Guide section start typing in the name of the guide you want to add.
Optional: To choose a landing page within a guide click on Guide Page. Choose an internal page from the drop down menu or if no options appear leave empty.
8. Click Embed Content.
9. The guide will now open within your Blackboard course shell.
