How do I do an APA citation of web page or a document found on a website?
When all information for a web page or web document is present, the basic format is:
Author (last name and initials). Date (online publication date, year plus month). Title (in italics). Retrieved from (the URL).
When citing a source and there is missing information such as the author, title or the date include as much information as possible from the web page.
If the author is missing then substitute the title for the author.
Investigation of the use of mobile phones while driving. 1999, April. Retrieved from
If the date is not included use n.d. for no date.
Cain, A., & Burris, M. (n.d.). Investigation of the use of mobile phones while driving.

Features of APA to keep in mind:
When an Internet document is more than one Web page, provide a URL that links to the home page or entry page for the document.
The title of document is always in italics.
Within title of document, you may need to include the format of the source in brackets.
For example [Audio podcast] or [Web log post]
