To determine if the Library owns a journal's hard copy, search UMBrellla for the journal title. From your results list, select Available in the Library under Availability and Journals under Material Type to limit your results to journals that are physically located in Healey Library.

  1. Check the date of the journal under the holdings information
  2. Use the call number (H1.P54 for first result above) and location to find the journal
  3. Most print periodicals are located on the 6th floor
  4. Microfilm is located at the Reference Desk on the 4th floor
  5. If you want an electronic copy of an article that is only available in print or microfilm, you may request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

NOTE: Unless it's an older journal article, the Library's ejournal collection far exceeds its print collection. Library vendors provide the majority of ejournal articles in PDF format, which is typically a reproduction of an article in its print format.
