Thank you for contacting Ask a Librarian.

When searching for articles in Spanish, the databases that are most relevant are ProQuest Central, Ethnic Newswatch, Academic Search Complete and JSTOR.

ProQuest Central:

ProQuest has a few options when searching for Spanish language articles.

In the Advanced Search screen limit the results by Source type and Language.  Under Source type choose either magazines, newspapers or scholarly journals. For Language choose Spanish.

Click search and the results will appear for Spanish language articles.

From the results list you may further Narrow results by Publication title or subject

Click on any of the titles and the options appears to search within the publication or browse specific issues.

Ethnic Newswatch:

Ethnic Newswatch is another ProQuest database that carries Spanish language journals, magazines and newspapers.  It can be searched together with other ProQuest Central databases or independently.

Follow the same directions as for ProQuest Central. Change the language setting to Spanish and type in your search term such as Modernism.

Academic Search Complete:

The database Academic Search Complete can also be searched for Spanish language articles.

Go to the Advanced Search page and choose Spanish from the language settings.

JSTOR:
