Effective May 26, 2017 the University Library is cancelling RefWorks and there will be no access to RefWorks after that date.
Write-n-Cite works differently on a Mac. Make sure Word is closed before you install it. Once you install it, it should be in your applications folder. Open Word first and then Write-n-Cite.
There is a very small Write-N-Cite toolbar above the Word toolbar. If you don't see it, go to View->Toolbars->Write-N-Cite (or RefWorks or ProQuest for Word). The toolbar looks like this:
